Description This circa 1890 antique Kurd Runner Oriental Rug measures 3‘11” X 12‘8“. The field has four medallions connected by a double ended arrowhead on a very hard to describe colored ground. The field color is a combination of 2 to 3 shades of red and golden brown. The field is enclosed by three borders. The interior border has a brown ground with brown stars and ivory bars. The main border is ivory with an interesting design in brown and red with stop signs at one end in blue, red, brown and light brown 6 sided hexagons. The outer border has stars and bars on a darker red ground. The outer vertical borders are about 3 inches wide. The end borders are a little bit wider at one end with one end missing 1/2 inch. The rug is low in approximately 3 places in the field going horizontally. This is an attractive and very inexpensive rug due to its condition. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $150.00.
