3mm Corten Steel Edging
Versatile and Sleek Metal Garden Edging in the UKOur heavy duty 3mm steel garden edging is available in three types – galvanised steel, mild patina steel and Corten steel – and is the perfect addition for those looking for decorative and functional borders for their garden and landscaped areas. Simple to install, thanks to our user-friendly ‘zip-lock’ system, metal border edging simply requires a stake driven through the interlocking steel rings, which are professionally welded onto the end of each strip.Driving the stake through the rings pulls the pieces together, anchoring them into the ground and preventing any gaps – creating a seamless, smooth metal lawn edging to elevate the appeal of any landscaped area. Corten steel garden edging from WEATHER IT is guaranteed to be long-lasting, aesthetically stunning and available in a wide selection of heights. The spike sizes are made to match the height of the metal garden edging you choose, to guarantee an easy and secure installation. How does the Steel Garden Lawn Edging fit together? We produce user-friendly edging that allows you to connect pieces together seamlessly without needing fiddly nuts or bolts.‘Ziplock’ system: Our innovative edging design works by driving a stake through interlocking steel rings that are professionally welded onto each end of the strip to simultaneously pull each piece together and anchor the edging into the ground.360-degree protection: This type of design gives 360-degree protection against any gaps, no matter how intricate your shapes end up being. How does the metal garden edging stay in place? Each edging strip has a welded ring and ground spike every 500 mm at the rear. The spike goes into the ground 2/3 the height of the strip.Make a channel in the ground for the steel edging to sit in.Bury at least 1/3 of the height of the edge into the ground for ultimate stability. As our metal lawn edging can come in varying heights, the spike sizes will be made to match. For example, if you buy our edging measuring 150 mm, the spikes will be 450 mm with 300 mm going into the ground. How do I make a 90 corner? You can simply cut the straight length in two pieces using a cutting disc and angle grinder and create a corner of any angle by butting the two pieces up against each other.Another popular method is to score a cut on the reverse of the strip at your required length using an angle grinder. Then simply bend the strip to form a corner by placing a solid timber across the scored edge and lever the edge in the direction you require. The score you have created may close in before you achieve your desired angle, in this case, re-score the cut to open it back up again before repeating the bend with the timber. This whole process should take no longer than 5 minutes.Key BenefitsCorten steel garden edging creates symmetry within an outdoor spaceOrganises garden into separate zones for a more structured aestheticCreates zones for easier planting and lawn careEnhances the appearance of a pathway by creating clean bordersAdds clean straight lines to high-end landscaping projectsMaterial OptionsCorten Steel Garden EdgingCorten steel garden edging develops a rustic style patina over timeDurable and weather-resistant, designed to withstand the British weatherGalvanised Steel Garden EdgingStrong and long-lasting, treated with zinc coating to protect against rust and corrosionMaintains its clean and metallic silver finish without weathering or colour changePatina Steel EdgingQuickly develops a warm-toned, earthy brown finishIdeal for blending with traditional or rustic garden designsSimple Installation for Steel Edging Garden ProjectsUse a tape measure to determine the length of steel garden edging required.Dig a small trench along the line and position your first section of metal edging flush to the ground.Overlap the welded rings of the next metal border edging section.Drive the stake through the rings to fasten the edging.Continue along your mapped-out border, adjusting for curves or corners.Backfill securely, level the ground and tidy the area.Enhance Your Outdoor Area with Metal Lawn EdgingWhether you’re looking to create neat boundaries or a stylish finishing touch, metal border edging provides order and distinction to any outdoor space.
