This will continue to develop over a period 6 to 12 months. The speed of weathering process depends on factors such as Weather, Climate, and Proximity the coast/ sea spray etc. The product can be delivered in any stage of the patina process from raw steel to a fully developed patina.Corten Steel Maintenance AdviceCorten steel develops its protective patina through natural wet-and-dry cycles; when used as a water feature, the surface below the waterline may not develop a patinate evenly, and the water can become rusty or discoloured over time—regular emptying and refilling is recommended to maintain appearance and hygiene due to leaves, insects, and bird activity.
