We then roll it using pinpoint accurate Computer Aided rollers, so the ends meet perfectly. It is then welded together on the inside with a full seam weld for maximum strength.What is it made of?Our Corten Steel Bottomless Cylindrical Planter is made from prime, Grade A Corten Steel Steel. See Delivery Policy for more info.How long will it take for the Bottomless Circle Planter to Weather? Corten Steel Circular Ring Planters are available in a raw steel finish as standard. The finish will start to develop a beautifully unique orange and brown patina in a matter of weeks. This will continue to develop over a period 6 to 12 months. Planters could be delivered in various stages of the weathering process from new steel to full patina. All planters will develop a unique patina depending on various factors including: humidity, wind, amount and type of precipitation, and proximity to sea water.Due to the natural weathering process as the natural patina develops you may experience “run off” from rainwater and watering may stain the surface the planter is placed upon. This a higher risk during the 1st 6 months of weathering.
